Time Lapse

Question by Blackeagle123:
August 2005

Hey,
you know, whether it be recorded on the Panasonic NV-MX300 is possible for one frame per second (about the rotation), so that you like on TV, the camera can run time 5 hours (on a tape) that you can see, for example, how a Pfrisich of moldy within 10 days, or those effects ... :)

And I think 10 days in a minute Time Lapse show is digital in the editing program is not feasible!

Unfortunately I found nothing (except the digital time lapse that is not even working for me), vielleciht you know an alternative with which it would be possible: - / (Without the permanent Casettes wächseln too.) Or, one synonymous with the editing program to such an extreme Time lapse can show? (Must I then stop times losing 30 seconds for Kassettenwächsel)

Viele liebe Grüße
Constantin

Answer by Kiara Borini:

The classical approach is still: cartridge out of the camera (so do not go into standby mode) and provide them via the power supply with electricity. Then the frames via the Firewire interface capturing. Good programs should be able to cut it. (Premiere, it can at least s.Version 6.0)

If your editing program can not be that: Sclive can and costs less than it's worth.

The capturing of the computer has the added advantage that the intervals are arbitrarily controlled. - Also synonymous around 2 frames every three hours.

Answer by GhostDog:

I do so in a completely different approach:

I take my digital camera, put it on a tripod, hire those screen size / resolution, which the PAL image (720x576px) comes s.nächsten (so that as many photos on the memory chip to go (with my DSLR and one 1GB chip in smallest resolution are the thousands of recordings!)) and take up the rotting peach every few minutes or so once. if it succeeds an (external?) timer selbstauslöser s.The camera mount, then läufts even auto.

After the photos in the box (yes, they are given a sequential numbering-camera, then take advantage of what is), I import them into my NLE program (currently Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1), in which I had previously, the default length to 1 standbild (possibly 2) frame (s) have set (these are progressively BEFORE making the import, otherwise all the imported photos as about 6 seconds long, and must be individually cut or removed and re-imported again!). Now I just have to see all pictures in a slip and drag in the numbering sequence on the timeline and have the perfect zeitraffer film! voila!

tipp: in this way can be synonymous wonderful animation films (dolls, drawings, create claymation, etc.). And this even without a video camera! cool, eh?
