Hi,
So when the search function has delivered me anything suitable I post it now:
I have 110 min movie and wants to pack on ne DVD everywhere running (ie with mpg2)
But since it is quite long as I can adjust in the video only a constant data rate of 6000 bits per second. Otherwise, I have everything to maximum and the main MPG2 codec of APP 1.5 uses.
Bring it vllt in the case. a variable data rate?
But the quality is not the hit, that is worse than a top xvid / divx video of a DVD ...
Is quite important, so would be great if you help me Could there.

So a variable rate can then at least practical DU with the maxrate blow up something and that improves the quality.

how about with "minimal": 4000, "target-data rate" 6000, and "Maxmimale data rate": 8000

So, I was minimally fix 0.
6000 could be a bit too high when CBR only 5500 works (experimental)
and 8000 but sounds like an ok.

Hey!
If enicht so as to sound arriving here you can even use synonymous mpg and not PCM? This again makes room for more bits in the video bitrate.
