Hello,
a long time ago I looked at the licensed version of Premiere 6.5 purchased. With the program, I am always very satisfied. Now on to cutting synonymous, I now extra a laptop (Dell Inspiron) bought, of course, with Vista preinstalled.
Now does not premiere on Vista. I can start the program and is synonymous to open a project, but I can not edit videos. If I were one in the timeline moving, the car will appear red bar on the movie and the preview does not work. Here, I use only DV-AVI files with the correct sampling rate.
Is there assistance, drivers or updates, or is it again one of the intellectual berücktigten Höhenflüge of Microsoft, where nothing is compatible and my expensive licensed software for a ton is?

Before information helps!
First CS4 is officially for Vista.
It is not synonymous to buy Vista when the software does not run on Vista, so let's principle.
A smarter response is unfortunately not.

if not, then I kick vista into nirvana and stop re xp hau drauf.

Quite factually: Your Uralt program under Vista will not run correctly.

I do not know if it still exists in vista, but it is perhaps with a trick. in xp you could program in compatibility mode to start.
click with the right kick to your program and then properties. reiter in compatibility for you give the premiere OS 6.5 support s.and then ok. maybe we go.

These mental Höhenflüge help but we finally get rid of old burdens of Windows. I think Microsoft would have much more rigorous the new technologies to implement.
I can not hear:
"My program was running Windows 98 still ran great, does not run under VISTA. Vista / Microsoft is incompetent" Provide value to None so synonymous that you have a MiniDV is not in the slot for the memory card gets!
You can not stop using a software forever. Like all other technologies synonymous.
