First, by specifying where this problem occurs at all:

(NLE Avid here always says, videos are HD, Windows operating system)

DNxHD Codec:
- Output as ITU-R 709: Quick Time Player takes wrong color space
- RGB output as: Quicktime Player will correct color space

Quicktime Animation Codec
- Output as ITU-R 709: Quick Time Player takes wrong color space
- RGB output as: Quicktime Player will correct color space

Codec mp4/h264
- Output as ITU-R 709: Quick Time Player takes wrong color space and, additionally, has a gamma-problem
- RGB output as Quick Time Player takes the wrong color space

As you see, you can exclude as DNxHD codec and animation here, you just have to select the output format.

In a h264 codec in Windows, there are always problems (eg, synonymous in VLC Player).
The workarounds in Quicktime Pro Player and VLC Player will only work with h264 RGB (eg synonymous output from After Effects).

Solutions that I know of:
The workarounds for the ad in the players or MP4 files to publish to Flash (html5 synonymous seems to work). Sorenson Squeeze with MainConcept works synonymous my knowledge (as there is a special option to set the black level as 16 or similar).

Add one has yet, that these issues only affect the display of videos, which are then rendered wrong.
