Hi All,
for my Sennheiser ME 80 I'm looking for the best Battery. VARTA Battery V 23 PX 5.6 Volt is no longer produced because they contain mercury and therefore, since 1 January 1999, a marketing stop.
Sennheiser distributes them on a spare battery or service. There they will cost with shipping and delivery of 35 euros.
I use the ME 80 s.meiner Canon XL 2 and has a great sound.
There is still tension in the Battery.
Now the question: Can I use phantom power on and dummy in the Micro ME 80 anyway?

Yes, clearly ...... but there are already cheap on ebay with a value of about 3 Batteries should not be a problem.

Hello,
I solved the problem as follows. In the battery receiving the ME 80 rear insulated copper strip with adhesive tape. Four stacked button cell type PX 625A reingepackt and finished the arbor. Fits like a glove and worked for 3 years and is still the first set of batteries. The advantage is you have to look for the Batteries for long. These people are in every satellite ... or Medi .... t.
Scotch tape, and everyone has probably synonymous.
If there is anyone interested I can come to set a Picture.

At least since Grobi, Ernie & Bert, we know the "up" "down" "forward" and "Rear depend" always from the standpoint of the observer.

As is true for me anyway has a sticker with the battery name on it, but the stuff is pretty thin and fraying at gibts short circuit.

The original batteries are now hard to get and quite expensive, especially when they are ordered in any shop. Since then comes again the same thing on it s.Versand.
And 20,-EUR (after all, forty marks a real German money!) Only for a small battery are already severe.

Yes you are right, it is the Battery holder K3U I mean. The rest have recognized her, despite my somewhat inexact description perfectly correct. That with the heat shrink tubing was with me no time to. And I must tell you it is still synonymous not necessary. One has only once in the back of the battery tray K3U with isolate a good Tesa film. The advantage is we must be prepared for as opposed to a shrink tubing never want anything. Easy to buy Batteries, unpacking, and doing it out ... complete. Power incredibly flexible. But it speaks, it does nothing to shrink wrap.
