Background: I was in August in the U.S.

That I had read synonymous, synonymous got a FireWire cable purchased. Unfortunately, I suspect that my connection does not work, because the speed or quality is not improved and I keep the USB cable can be tuned. With USB I have on this point no experience, but crucial is that the camcorder in this way does not have the full quality as with firewire output, but the beginning of a poor-resolution picture on a Webcam level. The transfer is done via firewire in any event in real time: 60 minutes of video need about 60 minutes playing time.
