Had the same problem with my HV 20 and Magix gehabt.Nichts has helped sometimes it worked sometimes not, new cables, firewire card swapped everything umsonst.Auch a software change was not successful.
After purchasing a new laptop before approximately 1 year, I had this problem is not one anymore.
So it seems as if the camera with some hardware does not like how they sollte.Kann you so synonymous unfortunately not a real solution.

hmmmm .. the witige is I to 3 weeks before the AGM had 20 and with it went without problems .. Now with the HV 30 is suddenly no longer, or restricted or ... times at min 16 times at 23 min monday :-( will support the Canon times endeavor ....
