Hello people,
I am studying currently in the master with a focus on visual anthropology. For my final project would (should) I shoot a 30-minute documentary. Here I go with an NGO in South East Asia for 6 weeks. will be filmed mainly classical, nogroßen experiments, interviews, groups of children, school life, a bit of nature, nothing great. Sales of television rather unrealistic, mainly just for the big screen at (ethnographic) film festival. I will be traveling without a crew (except maybe a fisherman, I can recruit from the NGO), as would be mobile and have noDrehgenehmigung by the state.
Are still ways for a Cam borrow as a period rather limited (only one available XM2), funding is not good. The budget amounts to ¬ 1200 for everything. That is probably the most difficult part.
Spontaneously occurs to me on the VDSLR Page dieCanon550D that I like because of their inconspicuous (not only because of the authorities, but synonymous due to irritation of the film ends) and its compactness. The major points of criticism in fast moving pictures, I think I may neglect to film in my way. When criticism of sound, the Magic Lantern Hack goes there, to make useful to him? I would ignore the lack of convenience (such as Auto Focus) for the benefit of the low price.
What's on the camcorder's Page comparable? Especially important to me is the image quality and the Lowlightfähigkeiten (since I'll probably dispense synonymous to a grip).
The budget must still synonymous memory cards come in (MacBook without Firewire), a Rode Shotgun Mic, various cable / adapter, a transport box / bag and a cheap tripod shoulder (possibly synonymous DIY).

To spot at least NEN bissel light still have to buy ne Fenix flashlight - better than nothing to have around.
