after much of fruitless searching in the forum here, I present the question but in a new topic:
I'm looking for a camcorder with 3.5 mm jack microphone input, which is fairly good for something (3CCD etc) and not more than 700/800 euro. What models are recommended for me, or where can I am better informed? The dealer around the corner have no idea ...

sony hc96 with mic adapters vmck100 - synonymous then you will have a 3.5 mm jack.
