In the foreseeable future (1 / 2 years +) I would like to move up a semi-professional camcorder to me that the theme of "depth of field" compromise (when it dominated in the price range is at all possible?). If a camcorder will not work with solo. When that depth issue is to be so important, I would buy needed a 3-chip camcorder, and a 35-mm adapter added. Otherwise the results will disappoint.

Of the price limit you specified, you can buy as you loose of the JVC DV5000 Gy, with an interchangeable lens professional and of course 3 chips. With wide-open aperture (possibly one of the light using neutral density filter limited) think you can get decent depth of field (if you do not just movies in wide angle setting).

Idiot! Oh, what nice people here in the forum ... If they would give at least not as Letras any blather of themselves and would better inform themselves a little. There are probably very good cameras in the lower price (as noted above for example. The JVC) to cover the depth of the issue fairly well. And just as I had understood this was Andres concerns?

The largest aberration in Consumercamcordern the last few years were probably the 1 / 6 inch chips. Besides a lack of synonymous Wide Anglewar sharp front to back everything.
