Canon HF100 data storage and further processing in the PC

Question by Movie-Peter:
April 2009

Hello,

can someone tell me how many minutes or hours s.Datenmaterial in the highest resolution, with this on a 16GB SD card can be stored.

What are the PC hardware you have to the data from the HF100 to your PC and transfer the clips with a few transitions to work and ultimately to capture on DVD?

Thanks for helpful hints.

Gruß Peter

PS: I ask, so I follow the HF 100 camcorder can purchase with account.

Follow:

- 1x Battery BP819: approx 90-100 ¬
- 1x camcorder bag: approx 30 ¬
- Heliopan IR-103: about 40 ¬
- ND 8x: 40 ¬
- SDHC card: 10 ¬
- 2x hard drive for backups: 2x approx 60 ¬
- Video Editing Program: p.60 ¬
- DVD-authoring program: ¬ p.60
- AVCHD-capable video player for your PC: approx 90 ¬

I use the card reader, which in my Transcend 16GB card was for copying the data to the calculator.
With Canopus Edius NEO and the HQ codec do I edit the clips, make the SD MPEG2 files, which I then use Corel distillery film to a video-DVD Project process and will output to DVD. With PowerDVD I look the AVCHD clips to s.PC.

Oh yes, there are 2 hours and 5 minutes to a 16GB card at the best quality fit. : D

... and in the Resolution1440x1080 approximately 2 hours 55 mins

The "AVCHD converter of Edius Neo is synonymous to sluggish systems work quite well.
Even with a P4 3 GHz, there is still work fluidly. The only "disadvantage" is that the HQ codec requires lots of disk space, per minute, approximately 830 MB.

Thanks for the helpful info.

Opps ... because I'm flat!

My PC is from the generation AMD XP2500 with 2GB RAM and 200GB HDD ;-)

I believe that strained my budget at the moment but something ...
Maybe I should put myself on the storage media mini-DV and the Purchaseüberlegung an HV30 to stay.

Also in the HV30 will be your calculator hardly enough, because you will probably with an HDV - do not want to record in DV.
So Calculator faster and at least two fast hard disks (eg 2 x 500 GB).

... and the HV30 currently costs around 100 euros more, which is already in additional equipment can invest. Disadvantage of the HV30: loud noises tape drive by the internal Micro with be included. HF100 disadvantage: no zebra function and (still) quite expensive SDHC cards. Both still recommend ...

Answer by Movie-Peter:

What PC system is Mindestvorrausetzung for editing the material HF100?

Probably I need then synonymous nor a writer or BR?

Mhhh ...

Actually I only wanted a few nice memories movies ;-)

Answer by domain:

It depends on what you remember when movies hold want. Are they mainly persons or more landscape and architecture?
In the former case is synonymous DV-AVI for a long time good enough and synonymous with your PC can be processed.
Otherwise, you will come to a new PC is hardly around with the extremely computationally intensive AVCHD in the current form of video cameras never really thought of and was the only advantage of amateur vision in a halving of memory requirements is that in the future anyway, but no longer play a major role is .

Answer by bgk:

Hello Movie-Peter,

Just a thought impulse of mine:

With an HD camera that has a DV - (; = Firewire) output available, you can find your material synonymous with SD and rausspielen ban on DVD.

The high-resolution material and storing, you can edit if you times your calculator exchanges, or directly of the Camera on a HD-Television/-Monitor view.

Maybe this helps you in your decision next ...

BGK

Answer by Bidone:

Perhaps you will come back to the HV30.
As you can see the recorded tapes and later cancel at any BR store.
I use the HV30 for a few weeks and am excited of the picture quality. Before SD.
But the sound quality is not the best. Get an external Micro infected. Mostly, I am new Verton.
Important tapes I put away and then they can if necessary after a few years, new edit, cut and burn to BR, which to me at the moment is too expensive.
Currently I give the movies with a HD TV via HDMI WD s.das TV device. You have to use the films, but of converting 1080i to 720, the WD can no TV Full HD.
The quality of the HD pictures is awesome. If you then click back to a TV very much blurred before.

Answer by Movie-Peter:

Hello BGK,

Thanks for the tip ... the easy transfer and archiving of data is an absolute + * with mini-DV.

Since I have a DVD recorder, I could, for example, the data of the CAM via the DV recorder and play on a 8.5 GB DVD DL burn, finalize and all without any major losses (except for the compression) view s.bekannte pass etc.

Hello domain

my lens objectives are pictures from our future holidays and celebrations in the friend circle.
The image quality and ease of use is the focus, and my shots without image error!

We will soon be a little traveling through Scandinavia and I will absolutely! Movie on hold. I have in the past always annoyed that I had only photos (although those with a DSLR are already supi).

I did yesterday with a work colleague (PC Freak) phone and a conversion of my PC would max. $ 500 plus cost of a Full-HD TFT. The modification is reasonable and could be synonymous this year to be achieved.

Achso ... I currently have no source for playback of HD material - max. I can on DVD to 580p beamer transferred (800x600).

Yes, it is only the question of the negative drive noises - are these really as excessively loud?

Hi,

oh ... da werd ich so much joy with my CRT TV and my nostalgia Beamer have ;-)
But I have already thought of as synonymous, for example, my photos on the projector to the screen is not sharp will be displayed.

You're not necessarily limited to MiniDV. The possibility of material down to SD output via Firewire, synonymous offer some (few) other cameras with other recording media.

When I look at the contents from the specific link to HV10/20/30 it through, then I do not quite believable that I use for a cam the loud "Sirren" absorbs the drive (it seems very disturbing to many users!) And a wobbly cargo aufweist, around 700 euros to be spent. Especially since I definitely do not want to buy an external Micro and a proper processing very appreciated!

mhhh ...

Answer by shipoffools:

For the HV30 is an extremely Microphone quasi "duty". This is true but in fact for all who have a drive or a hard drive, since it sounds more or less with ever recorded. Depends but synonymous of the surrounding noise. When recording a loud party or similar events do not fall into the drive noises weight.
The advantage of SDHC cards is that they are absolutely silent and synonymous to work in a quiet neighborhood with nothing added (except one "zappelt" during the recording or s.Zoomhebel menu around ...).
An external Micro, however, is generally recommended for everyone, because the internal mics usually are not as good and you s.einem internal synonymous Microfinance can not attach windbreak.
For private vacation videos, etc. But does it synonymous if the claims are not so high, the internal microphone.

Answer by Movie-Peter:

Ok - the first time to transfer s.den USB 2.0 PC variant.

If the capture and editing programs Programs of the Cam HF10/Hf100 accompany okay or do I still provide a better program?

Answer by Movie-Peter:

So now I have a good piece (HF100) at home.
Of course a few times and sequences recorded with the accompanying software.

Despite the high age of my PC's went very quickly.

But now the first negative points:
- Picture rückelt very much at play
- In the bottom picture are wide streaks
- A DVD in Mpeg2 is not on a DVD-RW disc as a test case

Operator error?
How was it for you?

Gruß Peter

Answer by RickyMartini:

For the AVCHD playback, I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 Ultra. If the PC has a dual-core CPU features, a graphics card of the type of AMD / Ati HD3x00 or a nVidia 8500GT or better to use - otherwise, no GPU hardware acceleration made and the playback quality of AVCHD material looks less good and the CPU is significantly more demanded.

The HF100 has however not with a DVD-RW to do.
What software did you for AVCHD editing vewrendet?

I mainly use Edius and Corel distillery film the video for DVD creation.

Answer by Movie-Peter:

I have no additional software for editing.
At first, I want only the data archive and as they are on a DVD copy, synonymous to a few sequences in the TV to see.

The AVCHD data with ImageMixer3SE I read and copied to HDD, as well as with ImageMixer3SE player mts. the files open.

Creating a DVD was not possible because he help me with my SONY DVD-RW, "invalid" has brought.

Mhhh ... safe return just one handling error or my system ;-)

Currently I am not cutting and Nachvertonen me, the archiving and burning to DVD for the TV.
Do me first familiarize themselves with the HF100, so it works on holiday ;-)

Answer by RickyMartini:

How archivierst your raw material?
I put it into several harddisks and burn an additional one or more DVDs - depending on the day of volume.

For playback on the one hand, the AVCHD footage, but only after MPEG2 transformed. Distillery Corel film should AVCHD video on a DVD project fits transcode. However, each clip is individually processed. I hope that when you play it no interruptions occur.

That would test myself again.

Answer by Movie-Peter:

At best it would be if I had a piece of software, with which I convert, edit and burn it!

I do like 100-200 euro, but a software with excellent quality!

Just trying to Suchfuktion, the theme was really good enough durchgekaut ...

But a tip:
Get on the respective manufacturer sites just trial versions of the usual suspects Programs down, eg
Sony Vegas, Edius Neo, etc.
try and what your needs s.ehesten equivalent.
