Canon HF100 vs. Exacti Sanyo VPC-FH1EX

Question by adrock:
April 2009

Hello dear forum

I would like to see in the near future, like a flash memory with growth.

A non-HD unit is probably not very future-proof and so was my first favorite, the Canon HF100, which already synonymous priced for me represents the upper limit.

Now I have seen it in the same price range of the new Sanyo VPC-Exacti there FH1EX, the times of the technical data and possibilities (slow motion, lower focal somewhat generous) a bit more being made.

Is there already somewhere a test / experiences on this?

With the Canon to make sure nothing wrong, but when for a comparable price a little more power could get, that would be a consideration ...

Ciao ...
Markus

Answer by Shiranai:

The SANYO all have a decided disadvantage compared to Canon, you have no optical Image Stabilization, but a digital.
The option in PAL-compatible 50i or 25p incorporated missing, like the movie mode of the Canon.
The advantages lie in the Zeitlupenmodi of 60p recording and the higher resolution photo.

Reviews gibts glaub I have not, but I think the camera has the same optics and sensor, such as the HD2000, would have of the picture quality is quite similar failure. Test of this is here:

hi ..

I am interested in the topic synonymous as synonymous, I like to be a model in this price range would be growth. Therefore, if someone wärs fine the above disadvantages might explain something ... remembers one really strong difference between the two image stabilizer? what exactly is the movie mode of the canon? and what exactly beideutet "the possibility of PAL-compatible 50i or 25p incorporated" - you can with the sanyo only ntsc record, or what is the difference to the canon? can the canon synonymous in true 1080 progressive recording?
purely optical I like the canon actually better, somehow looks high, but in the end to me mainly to qualita to building. perhaps someone has been directly compared?

Answer by derhaxn:

hi ... I'm not sure whether my question was worded correctly, and I know that in some forums unclear defined "newbie questions" like to be ignored. I must confess that I was recording hd concerns'm still quite inexperienced. have an ur-old Digital8 of sony, and the comparison I mentioned in various electronic markets between the cams have, in my opinion are not very clear.
also confuse me all the theoretical concepts such as progressive, interlaced, 50i, 60p, etc. just as long as I can not directly compare.
I would really mainly interested in whether I, as a layman a clear difference between recording in 50i and 60p would recognize, and where this difference and the advantage of 60p in practice lies ....

You see the difference s.jedem flatscreen. On the tube TV it is not such a big difference.
My Note: For the future, only a progressive record. (25p, 30p, 50p, 60p, ...)

Here is a nice Hinweis über das example, i in 50 i like i nterlaced.
I got the

Yes, the difference of 50i and 60p recognize you, and although the material as soon as you s.einem TFT / LCD Screen anschaust.
Although I doubt that anyone the frame rate between 50 and 60 may differ, but that is interlaced between i and p-material-material that is progressive, there are significant differences.
For interlaced material motion fraying.

If you have an LCD s.PC this video and you look at HD and fullscreen anschaust, you can do this very well in the swing s.den edges of the trees identified:

Bei Progressive-Material entsteht sowas nicht, da hier Vollbilder aufgezeichnet werden. Der Nachteil ist, das die meisten Kameras progressiv nur with 25 oder 30 Bildern filmen.

No strong difference but you remember him, especially if you strongly zooms. An optical stabilizer produces just a quieter Picture.

noise will be avoided, ie, camera controls aperture and shutter only after, but never goes below 1 / 25 and used no gain. There are comparisons to Vimeo or Youtube, just search.

Our TV system is designed to 25p/50i. For older TVs or DVD players kanns with 30p or 60p material problems (eg no picture). Another problem is that in the movie neon tubes flicker slightly when compared with the frame rate recording.
