My question:
Theater for a documentary I get for one of the three cameras (all Canon XM2) a direct Audiozuspielung of a mixer of the recording studio.
Camera s.der need to make special settings are made, or it will be handled as if I use an external Micro?

I would Tonaussteuerung to "manual" and then provide the audio signal via headphones review. One way of "Mic" to "Line" level switch, there are m. W. does not.
Especially recommended to advance to an extensive sound check, otherwise it can give nasty surprises ...

The problem is that the mixer line-level, that is much stronger than the level that a Micro delivers.
In all cases:
1. Micro ATT ON in the settings. This is the Micro-insensitive input.
2. The maximum level of the mixer should not be higher than -20 dB.
3. Of course, manual and hope to control Headphones use.

The XM2 I have ReserverReserveReserve ... In this case, probably a XLR adapter à la MA-300 is not in question. This would be a symmetrical signal and a microphone so synonymous level (*) over a longer distance.

There seems to be in the sound on XM2 really no other controls other than those already mentioned
-> Manual / Auto and Micro ATT.

MicroAtt affects synonymous with input from. Can you easily test.

nix, I need to anyway to mini-jack changed.
Document synonymous but also have a DAT recorder contagious, so as not to experience unwanted surprises.
