I need help. Have an analog video transferred to a PC. Want to burn like the film now, but the movie is 24 GB large. How can I compress the movie?

Hi Elfie,
you have no plans to cut the movie to still cope? Most editing programs have a way synonymous to the DVD creation.
Anyway: your material must be encoded (for mpeg2), thus reducing your file size will be synonymous. Times Assume your video is approximately 2 hours long (in what format is available at your file?)?
If you do not want to cut, so you only need an encoder. Good results provide the Procoder (Light), CCE (Basic) and probably synonymous TMPGEnc (Pros).

Thank you. The film is available in *. avi format. Cut Nope, I want the nich, ja gar nich knows how to do it. Length is about 2 hours out.

What's encode? I have plenty of software: Magix Video Deluxe 2006 is the pros, Pinnacle Studio10 another. Then I still have MatchwareMeidator 8.0. Unfortunately, I can start with nothing all the software programs that are much too complicated. I need a program with which I already possessed the video to load (can open) and then a setting that tells me to "burn to DVD" and ready. No frills.

Well, if you do not want to reprocess really, can you just use Nero. But since you need the full version. I'm assuming that you Nero is a concept?
You start Nero, choose from "Creating a Video DVD" then open a window to select where you add a movie file (or similar) can, then comes a new window where you can select the movie from the directory. Click on Add, and everything else is explained to you.
I personally do not like Nero so much. The Video CD'S not looked so great from (kompriemiert too strong, with TMPGEnc much better).
In principle, however, is as synonymous with the video studio. Here, too, choose to insert a movie file, and go to "dump". Select DVD and s.geht it.
A bissle must deal so stop already synonymous if the calculation results should be "viewable".

Does not need to be viewable. Should only work out. Is not a "try out Project" and bad if it is not so great.

If it has not changed, start the program and usually comes at the top of a window where you can select the VideoStudio Movie Wizard.
The step by step you make, and you run the wizard on the target ..
So check it out.
Should not the wizard to come first, you can select with the safety on a menu item of the program.

Otherwise, the Vorgeg at all (newer) programs is similar:
Importing movie file, called on the timeline (drag it is an area often under the window where the movie content is represented by the program),
if you want to edit anything below a menu option to choose output movie file ....
should not really be that difficult.
If you can work with MS Office is such that, in principle, synonymous not difficult (if no editing of the film takes place).
