Infoseite // Creating a DVD of mini-DV with Date and Time

Frage von loa:

Moin,
'm new and hope the issue has not been discussed UNDEND.
I want to burn my mini-DV tapes to DVD.
Working with Pinnacle Studio 8
I miss the function in which one can show the display with DATE and TIME, as I would like to see in the picture. Who knows help?
Is that ünerhaupt with Pinnacle or with what software is this possible?

Furthermore bothers me that the tape after about 17 minutes (about 4 GB) will be stopped and I can not hold 1 hours s.Stück.
Perhaps it is indeed a semi professional program that can do both??
Request for Support!
Greetings from Berlin

You are right, that already had a couple of times, and is a feature that is missing the case. Basically, not only at Pinnacle.

There are different approaches to realize this. One that I would go would be about the free program VirtualDub, for which there is a corresponding filter. (Google or SourceForge.Net)

The principle of VirtualDub is video (AVI) Picture for picture capture and auto chase through one or more filters. Which then make such things as sharpening, change framerate, resize, etc., or just show synonymous reading of date and time and s.beliebiger place. Picture in Picture then passes the sound along with all back to AVI.

The whole thing can be for multiple files as a batch process (nice word for "batch" to run gell) and employ the calculator so well for the night.

It sounds to me as if captured will be on a hard drive or partition that is formatted with Fat32. There are 4 G ie the maximum file size ...

The solution under NT / Windows 2000/Windows XP is quite clear: NTFS. This is the file system, with (any of the files, no, nothing is arbitrary in the computer, but can be quite a good size) in size. Either you formatted the new hard drive, but then all the data that have gone out, or you use one of these Festplattenorganisierer, accompanied occasionally by the computer magazines. I think in the current chip with CD / DVD is one with daruf.

In Windows 95/98/ME you would have to mount on NTFS drivers, or set equal to a Linux file system, for which there are proven and free drivers.

On the other hand, why the files are so large? Yes, it is preferable to disperse the already capturing the files into small, bite-sized portions. (Some with Scenalzer. Not free, but good!) These files can then be synonymous with FAT32 easily combined to form several hours of video (if indeed there must be ...). Only when the output iin a DV-AVI file, it then can lead to bottlenecks. Well, who wants that??

The final movie in DV-AVI one back onto tape. On the computer MPEG2, DVD format last forever. And together here 4 G, already requires a long video. Then you should still take a break and many snack foods. ;-)

Pinnacle Studio has a nice feature, incidentally, in which the video will be read only with lower quality, and then be read only the scenes that have been actually used in the Project. This saves a lot Festplattenplatzu nd computer resources, but the camera mechanics a little more strained.
