Can it be that all the media mentioned in the title are compatible.
We used to use DDS4 tapes and then to me it as if the MiniDV cassettes are constructed identically. Unfortunately, I have none of the more DDS4 tapes.

Unde DDS DAT tapes are more or less identical. DDS tapes can be used synonymous to a DAT recorder, when the synonymous due to increased susceptibility to defects is not recommended.
DV tapes are somewhat different. A little thicker, not quite as long, not quite as wide. The tape itself is broader IR. DV tapes are compatible neither with DAT tapes, nor to DDS tapes.

To avoid any misunderstanding - that was referring to the tapes, not on the tape s.sich.
