Frage von FritzK:

Hi filmmaker who knows of?
I film with HDV. Cut and burn with Edius 4.5 burner: LG.
The display and on the FullHD monitor everything looks very good.
The burned DVD's are not so good. Have tried many DVD,
not optimal. How do I get now the clean films in the best Quallität on DVD?

First, thank you
MfG

Not so good is, is not so clear and not a Quallität like. if I
play a mini DV. Do we have to live with?

Antwort von Daigoro:

MPG2 DVD is highly compressed than DV Avi (if you are with the "play a mini DV meinst).
Video is basically DVD PAL resolutions.

The maximum data rate is around 8 Mbit / s - as fit 60 minutes film on ne single layer DVD - if you're doing it is more usually the data is low.

That with the data I have not really understood. In EncoreDVD can be synonymous for more than 8 Mbit / s, since it, I think, up to 9.5 Mbit / s. Is it therefore makes sense, insofar as the data rate is always high as possible to push? So if I am only a 5 minute video, then I move the data to 9.5 Mbit / s? In a 2 hour video, I make the data as far down that the film is still so fit on the DVD, right?

PS: I have but synonymous reads somewhere that some DVD players have problems when the data rate too high / too low. Is that so?

Yes, that's true (in the "too high" relative). More important than the data rate is the quality of the encoding used, or the synonymous encoder.

If all true, then you can see above of 7000 kbit / s practically no difference and creates a higher rate with only additional problems.

Antwort von Daigoro:

There is the video data and audio data.

Together, the 9, something defined maximum - and not all the players to create (you can hear at least).
Uncompressed PCM stereo are already synonymous happy times 1, something Mbit / s - this is a step in the overall data rate one.

What would be a good encoder for DVD-productions? Is the Adobe EncoreDVD of good? Or of the MAGIX? I actually prefer to cut with Magix and finally export the finished movie as a DV-AVI and import it into EncoreDVD there and then create the DVD ... The other times Mark has given me a good encoder is recommended, which, however, was at his MATROX card and is only due to the encoder, I'm not buying expensive MATROX card, which I do not synonymous ...

Daigoro @: Yes, I always use for audio PCM. The other option would be Dolby Digital. But this is worse than PCM, or?

So I understood correctly:

The total includes both video data -, audio rate as synonymous. And the total rate should be no higher than 7 or 8 Mbit / s? If my PCM audio at ~ 1 Mb / s, then the video may consequently rate no higher than 6 or 7 Mb / s?

Many greetings

Magix has been using version 2006/07 MainConcept encoder, which according to my feeling very good. Previously, the Ligos encoder used, the maximum I would settle in the midfield.

Antwort von Markus73:

Na, dann mal an answer for you:

If you HDV material from a video DVD burning, then resolution is inevitably lost, as a video DVD standard only under "normal" PAL Resolutionhat.

Want to leave the high raw material Resolutiondes maintained, you need such as a BluRay disc produce (but of course need synonymous to a player).

Markus

Antwort von FritzK:

Thanks Markus.
Now I know it. Bluray would be no problem for me.
But if I give away or sell DVD, there are problems.
All OK
