But in Adobe Premiere, you can directly of the DVD does not capture or import.
What is the correct order?

Material of a DVD directly to cut is difficult.
On the DVD there are probably Vob files, with which Premiere can not do, you could googln and times for "vob to avi converter" search.
Or your camera has an AV-in, you can set your camera s.den DVD player and connect it easily to the camera store and then play.

But I confess that I've simply had captured DVDs analogy. (DVD player DV and recorder via firewire then next in the Calculator). Is easily and quickly and the mE Quallität is not significantly worse ..... (if it ever sees a deterioration)

VirtualDubModAC-3 decoder, VOBs with VirtualDubMod and open as a DV-AVI file.
