Hello Together!

I am not a film professional, had already but for one or the other corporate image videos produced and had some contacts because of professional video equipment (TV suitable for evaluation!)

I am on this idea came when I recently spoke with someone, which is a yoga DVD produced (different Yogastellungen + breathing exercises), which he insisted on retail sales. The DVD comes in a Viennese book chain ( "Kuppitsch") sold. This one distribution is not the world, but the DVD was not too expensive produce (-> SonyZ1E, Kamerakran, lights, CS3) but the profit was not bad in my opinion.

I find this quite interesting and I think that there are enough niche topics were particularly in those sectors, such as yoga, hypnosis, etc. and the production has now synonymous for me no great barriers Mir is already clear that the typical indie distribution channels, such as Amazon, eBay, your own online store, etc. exist, but there are real chances of the DVD in retail stores or large vendors to place? How is such a typical marketing-driven? Mir is already clear that the wholesale these products by 40% buy, but how high is the probability that variables such as Saturn and Media Markt's products assume synonymous if they are professionally produced and pressed DVDs are?

The only chance is zero. we must cooperate with a distribution. if you as an individual Hansel towards a laugh from. they have no time for each order, the order (all) dvd's with a handful of distributors.

A distribution is besipeilsweise LIBRI. Amazon obviously synonymous. Such products can you with an ISBN (mvb-online.de) out, you do not need EAN, it is more expensive.
With the 40% you have deceived you, however. 50% are normal, plus postage (shipping to wholesalers), possibly an annual fee and is also a discount for timely (think of within 60 days!) Payment.
Only alternative is self-marketing, with all the disadvantages: the product on the market is not present, each DVD individually eintüten, bill, payment receipts, etc. Check Good luck.
