Infoseite // Direct via firewire hard drive to record

Frage von schlaflos011:

OK sorry for the title I am not by myself ;-)
I versuch times the situation to explain.
Next Tuesday I should be training (length approximately 7h) record.
The company is especially important to the sound and just want to have the breaks rausgeschnitten.

Times I have today started a trial with the Canon HV20 via firewire directly into Final Cut to hard drive recording. The camcorder is not to play but Recording - the Picture appears in FC (Recording) and the synonymous recording works.

But is it synonymous Safe? I think it is a lot of light through 1.5 hours.

My idea:
Recording on a Mac Book Pro 2.2 GHz / 4GB Ram out on a FW800 Taurus 1TB disk to this data should come directly.
Good indicative micro via a XLR - jack adapter in the lectern.
Additional sound on another laptop with an external audio interface and 2 large diaphragm microphones. (only if the sound from the camcorder to be bad - I hope not)

What do you - is the stable?

Why not? Except somebody stumbles over your cable or it slips from the bushes.

If the camera remains stationary, it should not be a problem. Or you like the system crashes you s.wenn material from the tape reads?

No - is already above that there is a Mac Book Pro - Final Cut system. ;-)

However, I have no experience with it (except for 5min test)
