FX7 with External Microphone

Question of Kabakiffer:
Juni 2009

Hi All,

I currently have available ne panasonic HVX171, I've noticed how great nen external microphone is.

My idea: I want synonymous XLR s.meiner FX7.

Now I want to ask you whether this is possible without further ado? Can I just buy a jack as to XLR adapter? Microphone and what is there to recommend? (; not expensive and dangerous to ...)
And there are dranbauen holder, s.The FX7 which one can, so that you can attach the mic s.Henkel sideways? So as s.der canon xha1 and hvx171.

Schonmal Thank you for your answers:)

Gruß Jens

The "professionals" your sister-FX-7 is the V1E, and has XLR s.Henkel. But you have now, the FX 7

I would advise you something completely different, because an XLR adapter will cost money and is not very handy, and the disadvantage of the jack are you still

Look at even a Zoom H4 to. Then you have the sound from the camera AND the sound of the Micro-H4, etc.

Reply Kabakiffer:

I got for my FX7 now the Rode NTG-2 Rode purchased, including the hot shoe adapter. 'm Very pleased with the part.

At the moment I have the Micro connected via XLR adapter handles, which of course is not the best solution.
Also, I seem to have caught synonymous still a pretty bad cable. Anyway, the ever-jack testing pass muster loud crackling noise, and to some extent. Have him forward again and then packed everything stripped. Now we're to some extent.

Are there any cheaper alternatives to the Beachtek part?
I'm a poor student and the Rode mic was not exactly synonymous gift;)

The Zoom H4 do not like it so much, so I do not need any additional microphones synonymous s.dem part. Moreover, one can not believe this fix s.der Camera.

Thank schonmal for answers.

Greeting Kaba

Reply volki:

the "Zoom" & CO. have not synonymous, the Ori-Microphone are intended to replace, but complement. Even a / s.der Camera-Mount was not anticipated, but a separate location, such windabgewant to add sound to ** ** smoothly. The synchronous insertion of an audio files can easily be in any reasonably "good" cut-Progam

Who wants to have a "GOOD SOUND" must do something. It is not enough, a "XRL-Micro" with an adapter s.The bobble join jack. Not for nothing most of the additional costs of the V1E against the FX-7's on account "TON goes."

Reply joerg-emil:

Hello Kabakiffer,

Rode with the security do you have with a good microphone. Unfortunately you can not arbitrarily extend the cable, because the link is to the camera through the cable adapter asymmetrically and thus prone to damage. If you want to run the Microphone directly only on the camera, this should be no problem. I would then cut the cable as far as possible.

What, however, always advisable, as is the micro positioning yourself s.der sound source. And then you get an extension drumrum not.

I myself have the Beachtek adapter and use it with the FX7, but I have recently made the following test times, which might be of interest to you. I have described this in another post, copy it but just once in here:

TEST:
On the penultimate WE I've included a full symphony orchestra. Two of these condenser microphones:

http://www.thomann.de/de/the_tbone_em_800.htm

I've attached an extension of approximately 40m XLR s.diesen Power adapter:

http://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_pps2.htm

About this adapter cable 2 x XLR / stereo mini-jack:

http://www.thomann.de/de/pro_snake_tpy_2030_kff.htm

I then shot the adapter directly s.meine Camera.

The result was a trouble signal. Apparently, the power adapter can be symmetrical, the very long connection to the microphones also active and therefore trouble walking. I find this very cost effective option to connect condenser microphones s.jeden any camcorder, especially since the adapter with a little skill could be synonymous rebuilt on mobile battery.

And here the sound example:

http://www.emilsvideo.de/downloads/lied02moonriver.mp3

EDIT:
The audio levels should necessarily synonymous, but the camcorder manual can be set, the orchestra was very loud and I had to runterregeln quite beautiful.

The entire post, with further information you can find here:

Hi All,

erstmal Thanks for the reply:)

I was already synonymous clear that we shall build the Zoom H4 is not directly s.The Camera. What I do not like stop s.dem part is that the sound will not be recorded directly onto tape. Sure subsequently can drunterlegen mans, but if you just enter "wants to film drauflos" and the result will look s.Television eg jump is not that so great.

The XLR jack with the adapter s.sich works quite well. At the moment the cable is 1.5 meters long and I only got a faint noise aufm sound. Although I do not know if perhaps synonymous itself comes from the Micro.

The bad thing is s.der stop the sound levels to jump s.der FX7. To the sound levels I always go to the menu and while I have the adjustable audio levels, no access to functions such as Aperture, gain, white balance, etc. But the zoom and the record button will still work.

@ Joerg-Emil: Your solution does me very well, have now been synonymous with my little Behringer mixer tried.
If the part is small enough to hang somewhere s.The Camera to? And are there any levels synonymous with a small knob to the sound?

Since I've now found only this:
http://www.thomann.de/de/akg_b29l.htm

Are there any synonymous with XLR inputs in this price range?

Kaba greeting:)

Reply Kabakiffer:

Or how siehts because with sonem device?

http://www.thomann.de/de/art_tube_mp.htm

Reply hofnarr:

the art tube mp 9v required s.zum operate, mobile battery that goes with nothing ...

the most sensible solution is likely one of the xlr adapter boxes of beachtek, juicedlink or studio1, which are screwed on the camera. The mini jack is lit once s.der camera ... s.besten and never touched again ;-)

Reply Kabakiffer:

Hi All,

I meld mich mal wieder ...

I still bought me no Beachtek or similar.
However, today I've made a bad observation:

I always thought the popping sound comes from because the XLR-jack cable is not in order. Today I got the part and reduce the time new jack soldered on. But as things turn out, the problem was not at s.Male but s.der jack!
If I make the time and her turning point (, so when plugged in) the sound of the blast and said cracking noises.
Is this normal?
And when I get so active, eg a Beachtek part, since I have exactly the same problem s.Klinkenstecker?

Has there been one experience?

Würd mich freuen:)

Gruß Jens
