Firewire under Windows7 and HV20 shows artifacts

Question by mono-chrome:
Januar 2010

Hi All,

I use a Canon HV20 and was able to capture on Windows XP and Ulead Multimedia Studio easy video via Firewire. Now I have switched on the calculator Windows7, new hardware, new OS, and now the well is not working anymore.

The Capture program is running, but the preview I will cut up the video completely / zerpuzzelt displayed. One can still see the picture, but it looks as if it were zerpuzzelt. Then I tried a different capture program -> exactly the same. I then installed a codec pack times, which is nothing helped. At the camera is synonymous to the mode that it should output HDV DV activated - has indeed usually synonymous always work.

Has anyone any idea? Could this s.neuen Firewire chip are or what might still be the cause? Had someone been times that funny picture when capturing? 'm Thankful for every tip!

Regards
mono-chrome

Answer by mono-chrome:

Could the problem solved now after a long search. It was the drivers - both of them, so Microsoft and the company's drivers have not really worked. Have then the drivers manual "1394 Host Controller (old)" installed and lo and behold, everything in butter.

Answer by Alf_300:

Write something but the FW was a chip, VIA or TI?
