Focus ring for Canon hv20

Question by cliffomalley:

Hi Folks,

I'm new here and have already read a lot.
Bin synonymous in the search for a suitable camera for me.
But this is nciht the question.

I have found here on the web:

Answer by 02VideoFaBI:

Hi, I have an HV30 (is actually identical with the HV30) and the ACI design focus ring.

My Conclusion:
The ring is a bit shaky, so we have to practice a bit until you can focus without crashing to the same. When moving the ring quiet sounds can be heard, ie without an external Micro or an external audio recorder, unfortunately it can not be used without scratching sounds on the tape with have to. If these sound can solve problems in any way, the focus ring a super Utility, which I can recommend to every case. The assembly is simply plugged (easy) and now everything works perfectly. Softer and easier focusing guaranteed in any case!

Answer by cliffomalley:

Super - thanks for the statement.
I was just in the "Saturn" and I've since looked at the HV40.
Of course I've tested once synonymous.
So it's crazy how tiny the device.
This time I tested the focus of the HV40 to the possibility of a SonySR11E.

While it's nice that the governor has the Sony camera so much Widerstad, but I can not imagine that one can thus achieve a block with quick focusing at a short time.
Accordingly, I think it's nice when you write, that is with a little exercise, the focus ring a good "addon" for the camera.

Edit:
Possibly someone tries schonmal the focus ring with WD-40 treated and thus reduce noise going on?

Answer by canovision:

I wish there but a good eye, the display and viewfinder, the Canon is an unreasonable demand, too little resolution, since the Sonyklar is at an advantage!
