Infoseite // Is the following dialogue with After Effects CS3, Encore + possible?

Frage von Jan Peter:

Moin zusammen! I have a question, that would be super if someone there could help me.
I want to create a chapter selection menu. I have outlined in the attached picture:

Everything is presented in such a rounded rectangle that should be a button. With the buttons "Chapter 5," etc., should, logically, the relevant chapters will be played.
Now to the "Special": In the circle on the right (and I would want) then make a mask with blurred edge of each certain preview display when one of the "chapters" button is selected on the left of it. So if the user has control when navigating via arrows on the remote but not yet out "ok button" has so starts the chapter. If "is highlighted in Chapter 5," runs a particular preview video in the circular mask if "is highlighted in Chapter 6," another, etc. ..
Clear what I mean?
So I have old Adobe Programs, After Effects 6.5 and Encore 1.5. In it I have not found anything like this could be possible ...
So my question is someting with the CS3 versions possible? Because then I would think about a purchase. Or does anybody happen to know if this even synonymous with the older versions would have to go and already I was just not smart enough to figure out how ...?

Thank you for reading's erstmal;) and a helpful answer, I'd be very happy!

That's what you want with the program you are using versions erstmal do absolutely nothing about. So geht's synonymous In Encore 1.5 - with the right approach would be there that every (;!!!) switch jumps to another menu, where all moving components are baked in the background clip. Ergo, you'll need at least 12 menus + menu. Rest here: http://help.adobe.com/de_DE/EncoreDVD/4.0/WS74BC1059-66C3-46c5-9FA6-78DF10B38353.html#WS4D51409E-46AF-43eb-929D-63BC0A0AB162 -> Automatic Alktivierung.

Note only that the switch between the buttons is then very slow, because the DVD player erstmal the index must jump and then requires hitting the spot. That is, any movement by the buttons would mean that one should make about 1 second penalty and that's stupid.

As Hollywood makes it really that you do not have a delay? I get no attention when I let pass an initial film in a menu that is not just a standstill, at least not in Adobe Encore.

Nine times the (; SD) DVD, which you impressed. Everything is cooked with water. The tricks are pseudo-verblüffensten Highlights (; animated film in the background integrated graphics), of which the user sees only that he "is on it," while in reality he is sitting on a default button. Deflection as the magic of his uncle.

Default Button?
I mean menus s.Anfang in which a video and then, for example, the NAvigation einfliegt, the background video still continues without interruption.
If I do something I have a short bedenkpause the DVD player. I would refer synonymous of a video on the menu with moving background.

The fly-navigation is in the background video, and there remains synonymous. Buttons are activated by loop points, loop brand Menuloop, whatever it says in Encore. Classic example.

No idea what you mean, how do you do it then., Or with what software you realize that?

I know from the forum here that in Encore can assign a menu with a background film to date, s.dem the buttons become active and the highlights are visible. In DVD Studio Pro would be to set the loop points, since one usually an intro to the repetition of the menus do not want to see again. When activated, the buttons you see no "jump", because the Menufilm timeline simply continues. In well-made purchase DVD menus highlight the dazzling colors harmoniously into the background, certainly a great performance, but more has to do with the training and the experience of the makers as a graphic designer than with a particular application. We often synonymous provides that highlight areas are used as masks when mouseover respectively. Navi-Dial to be transparent and so amazingly an underlying animation show (;), an animated graphic buttons or just a thumbnail clip, both of course fully integral part of the background film.

When toggle between menus, and will hergesprungen, this is done taking into account the expectations of the user. This expected something to happen when he clicks. Therefore it provides the start of the second menus (; Tip: constant, low data rate makes the jump is shorter, an empirical value) with a "Fump", so he proudly notes that he has made a sharp cut. What he has indeed synonymous.

Each menu is explained. The limitations of the DVD specification picks up ninth. Good menus play only with a handful of tricks. Or with none at all, because s.wichtigsten is optimal functionality. The user bears a menu as long as necessary, as short as possible. Any boastful Effects he finds only cool if they do not impose it. 20 menus with actions to slow the car navigation anachronistic. And to purchase it anyway BDs depends not where the menu may appear as a transition in the main movie.
