What still is a little hidden - and the download link there is not very easy but it is now synonymous
the first time the 64 bit version - called Vegas 8.1 - available. This version is for Vegas 8 User available free of charge.

update comes with some new features - there are now slightly trimmer now synonymous in a preview - and a few other functions, for example when you add in the timeline overwriting of video footage possible. This preview function in the trimmer apparently caused the behavior change throughout the preview functionality.
Personally I think it works with the advanced features then trimmer for interesting, if you a lot about the trimmer will cut.
Greater emphasis should be in my opinion, this version of the Vegas 8c greatly improved import features, which are mpeg2 - the previously communicated mpeg2 decoder plugin was now final integrated.
And for some of particular interest is of course the now advanced AV encoders - which is now synonymous 1920x1080 dominates in the output, and of course the interaction with the DVDA5 (Added ability to save markers in AVCHD output)
AVCHD is still to be completed, that the import of some other AVCHD camcorders now works, which so far has problems - Panasonic SD9, for example, or synonymous HS100 should work now.
In sum, we have again the situation that some of the changes are more hidden ...

An existing version 8.0 is supported by the installation of 8.1 is not overwritten, but 8.0 as a 32-bit and 8.1 as a 64-bit version will exist side by side on the system. Version 8.1 is in fact so far only available in English.
It is recommended synonymous, 8.0 does not uninstall as there is currently hardly any plugin 64-bit capable.
