Lens / wide Anglefür SonyHDR-XR520VE

Question by khanibaby:
August 2009

Hello dear forum

recently, I am happier owners, the XR520 of Sony. I use the camera professionally (both, multimedia), such as private (; upcoming NY-holiday) and I still want to move up a wide-conversion. But I am a bit helpless, what should I have the right person is?

Before I am here now incur the wrath of other members, let me say that I am aware that the issue is about as s.sich sinnfrei like "I want to buy a car - but which one should I get?"

To narrow it so I hope that more of them (Picture to get it in, just for landscapes, buildings or indoor situations) without distortion and sharp deterioration in image quality. There must be a pro-filter of Raynox for a few hundred dollars, but perhaps not synonymous to the 30-Eurofilters from the bay. To stay with the analogy of the sample, so I'm looking for a solid mid-range cars.

I am very grateful for any recommendation, and would like to add that I had previously searched the forum. Should I have simply been too stupid and have overlooked that it gave my schonmal with someone or a very similar question, I'm just grateful for synonymous appropriate link.

Thank you in advance!

"Solid middle class" actually applies to Raynox, although there are as synonymous better and not so good converter. Throw a look into the current "digital Videoaktiv": There are some wide-angle converter and tested in conjunction with the XR520. The winner was the Sony VCL-0737C-own, purchase tip received the Raynox HD 5050 PRO, which is its larger angle, however, needs to buy more with aberrations. But he has a filter thread s.der front, which the Sony lacks converter.

Answer by khanibaby:

Well actually I had already decided on the recommendation out of the test winner and first synonymous again thanks for the link, Bernd E.

Then I came across the SonyPage but on the VCL HGA07 that should synonymous cost around 200 euros. I do not mean VCL HGA07 A, which was synonymous in the test, but just without the "A".

And unfortunately, this has not been tested on the Sony-Page, I will not clever mind me what the difference is (; apart are the different types of name)? Slightly different marketing talk, about 20g heavier = better, worse?

Apart of the general insecurity, which is better / worse, still resonates as a coupon for 20% off at the Sony Style store with whom I got to buy a camera to do so. The catch: VCL HG0737C not buy online, but only through a local distributor. VCL HGA07 however, already, with what would be off at least 40 euros less.

So I wanted to ask you for an absolutely final decision, so I will not sell myself: What should I do? What would you do?

Thanks in advance ...

Answer by Yerri:

Hello!

The VCL-HGA07A's for cameras with 30mm lens diameter. The VCL-HG0737C is compared with the VCL HGA07 probably the slightly older model. I had the VCL-HG0737 Y which had an excellent quality.

I would be synonymous, the VCL HGA07 take what I consider to be equivalent. It is somewhat expensive compared to the third-party vendors, but for a 500/520, you should have access to a good intent. I've certainly found that the original intentions are usually better quality.

Answer by khanibaby:

Thanks for the Council to Yerri! Would then take the VCL HGA07. And besides, he should not only be equal but synonymous nor the successor model, as you suspect - so much the better!

Thank you!

Answer by Yerri:

Can you tell then yes times here about your experience.
