Infoseite // Loss of quality through an external hard drive?

Frage von Dhub:

Hi folks:)

I have such an idea, but am still quite sure nciht into the feasibility. ... very big little man, I thought to myself: Ask the experts have a look:)

I describe my approach you first and then I present the question.

I prefer z.Zt my videos to PC and edit it with an old Pinnacle, Ulead old (or new soon Magix 2008 +) and then edit them on this PC

Since my hard disks do not have unlimited Kapizäteten and I like my top synonymous Cuttings on (not in bus and train, but rather in a hotel room) would carry out, I looked about me I could get about 500 GB external hard drive up, at which the Raw material after I use it on the PC drew-is copied. Background music and my cuts would also be stored on this ext. hard drive is stored.
On every PC (2 "real", 1 laptop) to acquire the ext. the same hard drive directory (eg "V: \" as video).
Now I could simply Switching ext. s.jedem PC hard drive, the latest cuts continue editing.

Insofar as the above should not be a problem.

How it looks, but you adjust the finished cut from? Have I with quality losses to be expected, when I finished the film of the ext. hard drive to an internal panel can render?
Or have I lost quality when I'm of external to external render leave?
Which is better?
In short: does the external hard drive to render quality worse?

I use all the PC's FireWire port of ext. hard drive

Thank you in advance
