Hello,
I want to produce DVDs with software training and tutorials for sale.
It raises the question which I encode them.
Xvid is indeed free, but must, unfortunately, usually only installed on a Windows XP still will Calculator. The quality would be like I need it.
The Mpeg4 v3 codec is already installed, however with Windows and is therefore on it to almost any Windows XP Calculator yet? (is that really so?).
Since many of my DVD purchasers or users are computer novices, I would like to spare them the installation of a codec.
Is synonymous Mpeg4 v3 codec to create the film freeware, or should I use this free of charge for my project?

Place your project as a video DVD, the DVD can be played s.DVD Players and s.PC. Simultaneously watch a training video on the PC and the one shown to imitate is so difficult ... and a DVD player software is on every PC with DVD drive there.

The Xvid codec does very good work (the data are smaller than in synonymous mpeg2). The only downside is just that one must first install the codec.
I thought that this disadvantage may be that I could deal with MS mpeg4 v3. But I'm not clear about whether or not incurred for the encoding with mpeg4 v.3 license fees.
