What are the minimum configuration, you should allow a smooth workflow with Final Cut allow?

I work for three weeks with a new imac Dual Core 3.0ghz - 4gb Ram.
The work is just awesome! Even the material of the 550D, I can edit natively + Effects without rendering.
More computing power is not really necessary.
