Infoseite // Manfrotto 701HDV horizon. Cushioning + 501HDV questions

Frage von mikemayers:

Hi,

have a Manfrotto701HDV in combination with the 055XPROB Tripod purchased. I had hoped that this combination of both for a FX1000 to a CX700 as synonymous ever be able to use as needed. In itself, does everything a high-quality impression, but I wonder very pleased that the head is very stiff in the horizontal and appear in the damping is not adjustable (vertical only). I must stand with the other hand, the quasi-tripod to keep it from sliding around on a swivel.

Compared I have now seen that the 501HDV has one adjustment for the horizontal, the 701er is sitting there with an Allen screw a cap-only. Well here at the 2nd see Image: http://www.amazon.de/Manfrotto-501HDV-Teflon-Video-Neiger-Schnellwechselplatte/dp/B000N26QVW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=gateway&qid=1300005743&sr=8-2-spell
Oddly pasture has written to Amazon for someone 701: "The resistance can be pivotal for both directions separately adjust quickly with a screw.

Now I ask myself:
- I can adjust the damping s.der Allen screw or should I better stay away from it? During a short test has been found that the screw is extremely strong, because I want to apply noGewalt.
- I should better take the 501HDV and it is possible with this, somewhat rightly synonymous with small cams to come? As far as I've researched, this should be better a heavier cam be used, but the posts were rather based on the previous model.
- It contains the labels "501HDV" and "501HDV PRO" - the two parts are different (older / newer)?

For tips I'd be very grateful

Regards, Mike

Also, the 501-head is with me even in the loosest setting horizontal predecessor clearly difficult than in the vertical direction. Strangely enough, does the cheap Manfrotto 2936 head in both directions relatively uniform, although I believe nothing can be set.
The 501-head can be safely used synonymous for smaller cameras, the return spring then acts somewhat too strong, ie the head is not necessarily in any vertical position are, but the spring can disengage it, yes.
The 701-head I had once, but developed with time, a clear vertical Losbrechmonent has me quite annoyed.

The 701HDV head is in my opinion for a FX1000 too weak. Would recommend as more 501HDV. I have for meineCanonXH-A1 even 503HDV, of which some say, however, he would be a bit oversized.

The 701HDV would I think qualify for consumer camcorders. The FX1000 is already on Prosumerklasse.

How it looks like you can with the 701HDV loss (both vertically and horizontally synonymous) variable not set. It is constant.
You there, as far as I know, a set screw for the tilt, one for panning. At best, you can easily in my opinion, the damping set about it.
The Allen screw fixated perhaps only the head on the tripod?

Invite you to talk down the latest Manfrotto catalog: http://www.manfrotto.de/Service/Kataloganfrage/#

There on Page 29 of the 701HDV is listed. At the bottom of the page are the technical specifications.

I then specifically in the network synonymous times according to your question searched but found nothing clever on the fly.

By the way, for the camcorder Henkelmann class is like the combination here (goes to wenns Manfrotto) 501HDV/503HDV/525 MVB recommended.

The new catalog dive but, I think, not to replace, since newer.
