I even fear that it will be impossible. Your camera supports USB 2.0 only as a webcam in significantly lower quality. Firewire is the only way the videos are useful to the calculator to get. Since your laptop has this port, but neither one has a PCMCIA slot, I knew no possibility with this device combination to work.

Perhaps you can find a friend / neighbor / colleague on a calculator equipped with firewire to an external USB 2.0 hard drive to play on and then hang s.euren laptop? Is something awkward, but still better than nothing ...

That you understand this correctly: You connect the camera via firewire with your calculator, then transfer the video but not limited to the internal PC hard drive, but via a Firewire or USB 2.0 connected external hard drive (should be in your editing program adjustable ).
Is the video on it, you take this external disk, unmount it via USB 2.0 s.den laptop and editing program which can then access the clips.

You should test times on the Internet to investigate whether your laptop has USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 has. With USB 2.0 you can for under 100 euros an analog converter Mpeg 2 to buy. Others of Pinacle. Even with USB 1.1 which is due to the low data rate (about 5 Mb) to the quality rather than good VHS quality ..
