It is precisely not to AVCHD, but AVC-I. These two formats should be something delineation be synonymous if they have a similar (or at least very similar) basis.
That already have a marketable Camera would be available in the standard with AVC-I works, I do not know. However, it was announced that some Panasonic models retrofitted with this format could be equipped, such as the HPX-2000 by an optional board.
