Infoseite // Pixel Mapping File to Video

Frage von megahias:

Hi,

somebody has an idea what that exactly means?
So, when you import you can choose to image even under "File pixels to video mapping between three values. RGB, RGB again, dither image colors and 601 ..

When I import HD material, I noticed that I get in the top two settings verwascheneres, lower contrast picture.
Now, one may of course say "then import just always with the third, but I'm naturally interested in what I was doing synonymous.

Has anyone any idea of when you?

Thanks and greetings

Matthias

Antwort von WoWu:

This is the reference for the color space.
If you choose RGB, he mapped it in 601; you choose 601, it assumes that in a Zieformat 601 here nothing needs to be changed.

Thank you Wolfgan,

you can explain to you the difference?
So that it does not look the same when he mapped, as if he assumes the starting material is so?

And probably the stupidest question:
What does that mean exactly what he mappt 601?

THANK YOU!

Antwort von WoWu:

You have two different color spaces: RGB transmits each color of each pixel, CCIR601 only every other value, ie Y'Cb `Cr`.
Explaining the difference in the color spaces here would be read beyond the frame () in my book.
Therefore, if shown only parts of one color space to another color space, this leads to that individual colors are not available. Since the parameters not only from the color alone is synonymous but from the saturation, this leads both to a shift as synonymous to a "flattening" of the color.
But as I said, long subject.
Quote: What does that mean exactly what he mappt 601?
He assumes the values in the CCIR 601 color space such as in RGB (parts of which exist). A color space conversion would require an interpolation, and thus generate different values.
