Infoseite // Problem: firewire?

Frage von hechter79:

Hello s.alle,

I run a DVD Burners s.Notebook via firewire (4pol on 6pol) in an external case with power supply.

Everything is recognized, that's the good news.

But:
As soon as I insert a CD and try it on firewire play (audio, video, no preference what) depends on the system - via USB 2.0 but it does! It can not s.der data subject, because

I can burn DVDs (ie data from the notebook to send s.brenner) Strangely only with 6x (about 8 MB / s). Firewire Should not at least 20 or up to 40 MB / s support, so that 16x would be no problem?

The reason being?
- Wrong cable, that only in one direction is sending data?
- Software / firmware bug?
- Chipset in housing? (is Prolific 3507)

Thank you

Windows XP SP2 may be in use? If so ... you could be synonymous to the "If firewire is not working correctly" thread in the hardware area to help ...

What did you do for a calculator? What software / Betriebss. etc? A few more details would certainly be helpful.

Hello,

sory course, I add:

I have a notebook of 2002, Win XP SP2 of course

(synonymous've found the MS paths, the test times)

OHCI firewire s.Notbook may, however, is only 4-pole (but housing has electricity, so it should give no Probs)

What really worries me is that I can play, no data on firewire - if I have to usb 2.0 umstöpsel is

Ds housing. where I use the normal internal burner built has had a Prolific chip => may be the cause?

Thank you
