Infoseite // Question about bitrate for MPEG2

Frage von Michael 012:

Hello,
I use to play my MPEG2 videos to KMPlayer. This has the useful tool Media info, contains information about the video-file returns, with s.Bord. These following questions:

1) MediaInfo shows me three different values for the bit rate: Once the "General" (eg 5960 Kbps), once known as "Video" (eg 80 kbps) and one "Audio" (eg 192 kbps). What did the bitrate value in the "General" for a meaning? Video bitrate and audio bitrate is obvious to me, but General bitrate?
2) How high should the bit rate because approximately, so that an MPEG2-Videofile in PAL Resolutionauf the PC screen looks good?

Thank you very much!

Michael

Antwort von Michael 012:

Sorry, correction: In the above example makes a video bitrate of 80 as an example probably makes little sense. I was prescribed and it should read 8800.

Antwort von Digitalimager:

I would appreciate that the General just actual bitrate is.

As a second opinion you should look at the freeware GSpot care and thus the movie and check with your program to compare the data, then you are more likely to come from behind.

Hi,
if you have the audio-and video-daterate zusammenzählst, you have to on the "general" value - and this should also in a dvd-video 8800 kbit / s or less.
otherwise the optimal data rate in the first line of the image and the content-dependent, with a normal dvd-video (720x576 pixel) is in average at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. mbit / s, at a resolution of 320x240 you allowed synonymous with a 1 mbit get passable images.
Thus always to the application purpose. for pure computer display is mpeg-4 or h.264 compressor the better. As a result, you have the same picture quality at lower data rate.

The example which is not true, bez. by simply expect to get together because no green branch.
(The maximum data rate (video + audio) is other 1080 Mbits.)
So I suspect that General in this case, the average video data rate.
