Infoseite // Questions about VDL (especially in the Picture-in-Picture and DVD menu)

Frage von Hotte2:

Hello,

I would like to buy myself a new upcoming video editing software. I am currently working with Pinnacle Studio 9 and am as far as the quality of the DVDs and the stability of completely satisfied. Crashes may have been a real rarity. What bothers me only is that everything about what goes beyond the standard functions must unlock. Etc. For example, picture-in-Picture

For me it would only times 3 options in question:

1. Upgardes on Pinnacle Studio 10 pros (because it is so synonymous Picture-in-Picture, Chroma Key, etc.) here. Get at me but a big Cons described here in the forum because of the stability problems.

2. Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0, but is probably synonymous flat because I only have a Pentium 4 Processor and no Pentium 4 D.

3. Magix Video Deluxe - seems at first glance, the program to be what I want.

I was therefore very first time the trial version of Video-Deluxe downloaded to try out the software. These are synonymous, however, more questions arose:

1. For the picture-in-Picture feature offers Magix yes to fixed positions and sizes, placed where the small picture in the larger picture. There are synonymous, the ability to scale as free in Pinnacle Studio 9, the Picture in Picture in size and synonymous to determine the location itself?

2. Unfortunately you can not test the demo version of the creation of DVD menus. Is this possible with Magix? I want to create a DVD menu, in which the background of a self-made BMP or JPG file exists. This background image is a television, located on the beautiful scenes of the DVD movie should be seen (ie, Picture in Picture). Among them will be only as text) (without images linking to another menu, and the film are (If the DVD is the "Miracle of Bern" has, knows what I mean! There is a similar menu included). In the case of the Pinnacle indeed fairly easy to make, but at Magix, I had read that there are only certain menu templates.

3. If I do. Avi files, which I had read of my mini-DV cam with Studio 9 on my PC, will go into the Time-Line of Magix, I always get an error message.
Videos that have been read from an analog source with Studio 9 can be strangely drawn to the Time Line. Here, however, the PC freezes regularly during machining. Stir these problems, therefore, that I have read in the videos with Pinnacle 9 and the possibly not compatible with Magix, or smell it for general stability problems of Magix VDL with me?
