Infoseite // Recording on Canon HV20 HDV, DV output, just how?

Frage von Serdar:

Good day all together,

First, I had only once the problem that my camera (Canon HV 20) of my PC does not recognize. Have found it just as was the case, if I have a tape with HDV footage in it I had a tape with DV images in it, everything was perfectly identified and auto start for HDV recording, I had Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and manual start HDV umswitchen there but then everything was ok.

So now my question or my problem.

I've heard that you can make it so that you continue to record HDV and if you can on the player mode and play the tape on to the computer via Firewire rübergibt the Camera then somehow the signal quality in DV instead of HDV can output.
Therefore, I wanted to look at the Canon HV20 users especially to ask whether they know how I can set or whether it was really something as a function exist?

Currently, it is the way, I NEN with HDV tape recordings, is in play mode display aufm synonymous as a liaison and HDV HDV / DV Out and streams such as the quality of HD over, I have one of my old mini-DV tapes are not in it HD, so it is synonymous in DV then again and then display aufm synonymous only DV and as connecting only DV - Out.

Only I would have gladly ne HDV recording (if later you really want to work with HD) which I then but now it just right as a DV encoding rüberstreame say about the camera itself is running and I was not behind by the software to do it as well I've heard directly through the camera should be better.

Short form again:

Record in HDV.
Play mode, but just like DV and that the signal only by DV - Out rauskommt.

Any help would be super grateful.

I have 4 weeks since the HV20 and have an important event in the HDV rotated. I leave daruf that there is no problem is the HDV recording in DV camcorder to convert it. The synonymous says the Book. I would be aback when my DVD recorder with Firewire input the converted DV signal but not liked.
My PC with Premiere Pro 1:51, the signal capture. Unfortunately, I have before but no sample rotation cuts made.
Now I have 4 tapes with rotation and material in Premiere can not work with it. The material will be loaded (in the old DV mode) but after the drop on the timeline, Premiere is only s.umrechnen and no liquid can work more.
Now I have a tape of the HV20 via firewire to my old SonyD8 dubbed. From now I Sonyhabe premiere with new data. Behold, Premiere now has no problems when editing.
This will cost me much time now for the Umkopiererei.
Because others have different experiences? Or solutions? Had interesting times.

Many greetings

The time I almost every day with the HV20 (as a player is used) and never had problems with it. It is a "normal" DV signal from the camera ..... Normally, I have written in brackets because the Canon HDV playback stream is something of Sony cameras in the header is different. Whether it's for conversion to DV synonymous differences, there is still not myself noticed. Avid and Pinnacle have no problems with it.

Hello proboscis, Hi Nacho,

thanks for the answers

I have recorded in 16:9. I have the sound at 48kHz, because I further 2 soundtracks and so do not need the sound to the DVD that no longer needs to convert.
In English, I have the project settings for PAL DV 16:9 and 48kHz taken. The same settings, I suppose for the moment so synonymous again.
The only unusual that I do, however: I have some closeups of the event with my old Digital 8 camcorder and rotated in the mix during processing. The old Sonykonnte still no real 16:9 and the picture is of hochgrechnet Premiere, but it's doing now so synonymous!
As I said, after a dubbing of HDV recording on a D8-tape and the new Capture is the spook away.

Many greetings

Hi Everybody,
I will be mad. First: I have looked through several threads on the topic, but I could not be helped.

I want my HDV recording in DV quality on PC. My HV20 is of Magix Video Deluxe 2007/08 is not detected. I have all the settings (without the camera was connected), so you must take, including:

Playback Setup 1: SP-automatic playback
Setup 2 Playback: DV output to DV

When I now run the program, the cam connected via firewire and go to play, then hit program on recording, only the message "Could not connect to the device are manufactured."

What can I do to my recordings in HDV DV quality with deluxe Magix secure?

Can anyone help with my problem?

I have the Windows patch KB 885222 installed. But unfortunately, the camera still does not recognize of Magix.

How can I tell if the fire wire from the device manager is detected? What should stand there?

Regards, Stefano
