Infoseite // Renaming clip names with SonyXDCAM Transfer 2.5

Frage von DenisTheMenace:

Hi.

I describe briefly my problem. Maybe someone know the solution. Hab bei nem short rotation over 300 clips recorded with the EX3. Now I have to rename the stuff with the help of the video log. Even so, in order to synchronize the video with the external aufsgenommenen audio.

For this I have downloaded Sony's XDCAM Transfer with Version 2.5. Wonderful program. You can now rename the program within both the source synonymous as the clip. With a storage of these changes will take effect on the original files on the hard drive. Thus ichs've read.
Nan, I can not change the "Information Tab" nich the clip name. The source can be funny as change. In Manual of the program is that it is not the clips AND ALSO I rename source names, if one is working with the EX-Ordnterstruktur. In general one source and at the same clip. But I can umgenennen one and the other does not ....
Now of course I'm synonymous to the right gschaut write on my hdd ... is ok.
I do not know why this is not synonymous goes ... but I am dependent on the sorting of the clips ...

Help!

Am I correct that you want to rename the original Mp4s and not the transcoded files needed for your cut? Actually, the trick is indeed to enter your log in information and import it and then you have the transcoded file on your disk with the appropriate designation.

In other words, if I selected the files via the import button in my Final Cut Pro project shove, renamed the original Mp4s then?

namely, the point is that I am not quite sure of what the ppn. smi,.. xml and. bim files it needs are of ... so I did not rename the data manual with the finder on the plate.

maybe someone knows a link that explains where, what additional data will be of the generated ex3.

my grad is still wondering if I get import files generated by the new one? or does Final Cut Pro back then the original files still on? ... Ask questions about ... :)

So:

not just rename the folder structure. The Mp4s only work in their forest subfolders: So bpav with. If the log files are missing can import Mp4s not directly.

You do not intersect with the information stored on the card Mp4s. These are converted during the import into your editing system into a system tailored to your cutting container. In Final Cut Pro so mov file into a.

You double speak, the moment s.dem material. Once stored on the card or already on the copied hard drive folder structure with the Mp4s LogList therein and which is suitable for your backup (and since the compatibility with other editing systems is given) and once in the destination folder importiertne mov files, with where do you work in final cut.

These mov files you can rename after heart desire. Either directly before / during the import in the transfer tool on the hard drive, or stay only in the bin.

wow! das is mal ne precise answer! Thank you.

When you reinstall of tr xdcam I was able to specify a cache, import and export-location. among the preferences in xdcam transfer, but I find only the cache folder and import that I can change.
now if I import the clips via Final Cut Pro reinbringe, whither shall I then transfer the new. mov files?

Or is it the place for "Video Capture" in Final Cut Pro System (; scratch disks)?

best greetings,

Dziga hi!

ok sorry, one more question .... but not from the manual ersichtilch. Now when I log my clips add information, where they are then placed before the actual one. indeed, it appears this point s.den clips and s.der source, if you make save changes to be saved. I just wonder where?
If I change the workstation and yet the prospects of the materials must, I am able to take this information ...

Thank you.

If you mean the entries made by a clip-browser, they will be stored in BPAV / CLPR / <ClipName> / <ClipName> M01.XML in the following XML tags:
[code: 1:1 cedb58597]
<Title>
<lib> Title 2 </ lib>
</ Title>

<creator>

<Description> Here is the description </ Description>
[/ code: 1:1 cedb58597]

* Due to the HTML parser of the forum software is not a complete representation of the XML tags.

Now I'm not sure but the XDCAM Transfer tool but is only XDCAM, so from 1440x1080, or am I wrong? For EX1/EX3 there is the ClipBrowser!
