| S.iMac lavalier microphone too quiet

Hi All,
I have purchased a pre schonmal Asteckmikrofon that I want to continue to use more often. Nothing special, but for my services, it would have enough. It is about the "Audio Technica ATR35s.
Now I've hung up to enjoy all the fun times s.meinen iMac. Over the microphone input, which is s.einem USB adapter, I initially had no success. Then I run through the entire line input and the synonymous work. However, much too soft in my opinion.
Did not you take a Tontestaufnahme made and the Micro set to full volume. If I do I have to play the whole volume of my iMac are almost out loud - to about 85% (; probably a little bit less).
Now the question: is it normal?
And how does it look like if I'm hanging s.meinem Micro camcorder. You can (adjust the volume there, then, only sometimes independently) of Manufacturer and what type?

On my iMac 24 "is a micro-cup provided.
This can be switched by software to Micro or Line In.
Line in has a lower sensitivity than Micro.
Therefore, it is normal that s.line micro shots are in a low voice.
Level there are opportunities s.Camcorders only at semi-professional equipment. At the cheaper consumer cameras, the sound will auto gepegelt.
How well does it work? Just try it.
