If you want to be sure, then do an external eSATA RAID5 on. A single portable external disk without backup, I think for dehr daring, if you like the data is really important. Moreover, the RAID speed advantages. From SONNET There's something finished, but is cheaper to DIY.

Take a Samsung panel, which are so nice and quiet I have a lot of those and still has not abandoned the spirit. An enclosure of ICY Box. Those who already bought an "external disk" where you do not know what's inside?

The Western Digital disks with 5 years warranty, it is the Raid Edition drives ...

It differs from mass storage devices not under the Rechnerarchitktur (32 and 64bit). Such a claim can never be on a hard drive, but only to a processor, an operating system or a user program.

Have my own grade, the WD Studio Edition 1TB myBook purchased.
As mentioned in some other forums / product reviews written to the disk slows down the boot if they have USB dranhängt.

After a firmware update it recognizes my calculator at home and no longer adheres to the calculator.

During operation, the plate can be completely normal USB dranhängen.

On my HP laptop running on the other hand, the disk via USB synonymous when starting normally. My myBook 500 GB is synonymous s.beiden computers normally recognized. The USB s.meinem calculator is not broken.

The other thing is that they have eSATA not detected.
Again this will help in other forums, etc. described. It could be due to the plate 300 a SATA port. My motherboard only has SATA 150th

An internal SATA 300 plates can umjumpern yes on 150, which is in the external WD disk of course not. Man gets no synonymous SATA 300 on PCI - Controller. Only 300 to SATA PCI-Express or SATA 150 to PCI. Well, I hope they s.meinem new calculator with SATA 300 is usable.

And even if the disk because SATA on 300 should be able to run they must be extra turn - regardless of the PC. The hate I fully if you have thousands need to press buttons A device ...
About USB and Firewire is itself constantly.

In the Bios the "Legacy USB Support" time off.

And in order to use eSATA, the plate at the first port to connect eSATA s.den completely separated from power if they have previously times via USB or Firewire dranhing.

It seems that one with the plates to full speed s.eSATA and therefore get the controller for Firewire and USB in the device be bypassed.

Hi,

thanks for the tips. That with the shutdown of the legacy USB support works. But then no more USB disks detected by the BIOS. From an external USB disk to boot Linux would not work anymore.

eSATA war I still do not run ...

If your motherboard really only with SATA I 150MB / s, then it looks quite dark. Have here is a similar problem.

On a calculator is only SATA 150 and there is no hotplugging, at most with the "hotswap" Tool can bring anything in terms of detection.

At another calculator with SATA 300, the eSata cable not included in the housing of the external disk stuck during the boot, otherwise it will take forever until it is up (maybe he did not - until now had no patience to wait). Is he up, cable and inside the thing is immediately recognized.

Both have a calculator eSata bracket-to-internal SATA solution, the BIOS is set to AHCI. Could well be that a board with a real connection here eSata no problems.

The only thing left is a PCI Express card with eSata connection. Must necessarily synonymous PCI Express, because the PCI standard, the theoretical 300MB / s is not packed.

Perhaps this is so synonymous eSata is not fully developed yet ... USB Scanners in Windows 98's performance had so synonymous caused a blues screen: D

This is true but only for any bundled software that can be used for the proper function is not needed.

This is not simply an eSATA but externally guided internal connection ... is synonymous to the other specifications (shorter cable lengths, etc.).

That this Gefrickel not always function properly does not surprise me.

I have not claimed synonymous. However, the times eSATA compliant.

But what if it uses little of the specifications was not the same, this can work, but the problems are inevitable.

eSATA PCIe cards for it gives way, p.10, - EUR (for example, of DeLOCK).

eSATA is not fully developed yet, the I subconsciously implies;)

In any case, do the eSATA PCIe card of DeLOCK with JMicron chipset here for the super price. Hotplugging without problems and with the Western Digital Studio with 1 terabyte get a throughput of 90 megabytes in the Maximum.
