Give it time as "cut avchd + + software" in the search for Slashcam. Then get 2 pages with thread, where all three terms appear in the posts (, so) is an AND operator.

CPU would already be moderate somewhat weak for the seizure transcode AVCHD - by default better. There are not many reasons to edit AVCHD natively. Long entirely unedited settings and BluRay / AVCHD as the target media / archives were almost the only ones that come to mind.

Is it enough hints here in the forum - AVCHD's just sick for native editing. Only the very fastest systems can do that I would not do that to me, either transcode (; import), or work with proxies as mentioned.
Some people seem out of the performance required for AVCHD synonymous conclusions about the 'picture quality' of the codec to draw and therefore necessarily want to work natively.
