because I am really very happy with camcorders, DVD movies, I am interested in the new Sony.
Unfortunately, I find little info about this, so my question: Is the camcorder in a better picture and sound compared to the previous generation (eg 505)? Has the new Sonyebenfalls an accessory shoe?

Has the new Sonyebenfalls an accessory shoe? Yes, he has. All technical data of this kind can be found incidentally on the Sony website.

Did anyone ever SonyDCR the DVD506-tested? As I said, I'm interested in whether the camcorder is a worthwhile purchase, or the older models are sufficient ...

Yes because on an AIS (Active Interface Shoe) without conversion is not necessarily what normal draufpasst.
+ R DL I find quite silly
- Just expensive (often more than twice as expensive as a normal + R)
- No RW
A little better is the New already synonymous of a major optical stabilizer of the 506th DVD Does it almost always is less image errors.
Whether the new FH Battery (506) external battery buyer enthusiasm, I venture to doubt ....

One question I have: s.Sound Has something changed? The DCR-DVD505 predecessor was 5.1-surround, but 4-channel, integrated.
When the camcorder is in the 506 Description: Digital 5.1-channel
Integrated Microphone 3 channels
Is there a predecessor with 4 channels "better" in the sound recording?

No idea that someone would have to test more accurately. As you know, I am not a DVD camcorder friend, a colleague of my work was almost last of a customer sued! Because number 1 sales program in Germany Magix De Luxe 2007 no VR files of DVD camcorders can imortieren ..... (he had forgotten to mention)
Yes the new 506 has 3 microphones built, 2 front - one rear. In the old 505 I know it no more, the 5.1 sound mixed together, all two.

Both Picture Sound as synonymous, and especially sound
Especially for beginners and advanced is my opinion the best choice if not quite synonymous cheap
