Hello Wolfgang,
"Needs DV input" is a feature that we look for the video camera buying especially now. Formerly it was Sony camcorder with a simple widget unlock what I myself had to (m) a D8-have made the device.
Today that is no longer so easily, because the Inch has bitched (since escaped him a nice import fee), and thus improve Sonyden needed protection.
The HC19 is not unlockable.
