Hello,
I have a SonyTRV900E with a very strange problem. I can not record video on the DV - PC s.meinen Out Capture. However, I can very well be videos from my PC through the computer - in the camcorder record! Of course, I've already tried the search function and Google synonymous tortured, but I find no meaningful notice.
As a PC, I have three pieces of choice, all with on-board Firewire ports (Via chip, TI chip). Alternatively, I still synonymous a PCI card with Agere chipset is used. All Firewire OHCI chipsets are compatible. The operating system I have Win XP SP2, and Linux tries.
For capturing, I use Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 or XP Movie Maker (under Linux of course dvgrab).
The device control works wonderfully (start / stop / rewind, etc.), synonymous to the time code is displayed s.PC. But if I s.PC stop recording, the message appears only that the recorder could not receive frames.
I play a video clip, however, in Adobe Premiere from the clip immediately appears on the screen of your camcorder and I can record the clip synonymous ...
I'm getting a little stumped, maybe someone can still give a hint? The evidence of contributions to "If the capturing under Win XP does not work" me ...

Hello Kai,
the computer, you can probably be excluded as the cause. Next, test a different firewire cable and then another MiniDV camcorder.
