 I want my LG TV as a monitor for my vaio use. Picture works beautifully, but no sound. What am I doing wrong or can this s.der wiring problem?

Your Vaio is a stereo mini-jack audio output than have. If your LG for the DVI input a parallel RCA Toneingang has, you need a cable stereo jack to two RCA times, otherwise jack on jack.
