Infoseite // Time code problem between XL2 and Final Cut

Frage von G.:

Hi folks,

have a few tapes where s.einen Cutter. In a note he was also the time code of the scenes, which are scanned and should be cut. But unfortunately there are bigger problems, because each scene begins at 00:00:00 and is no consistent time code. Before I go now to the cutter and we will stay with him for free, I hope someone here has a tip. What setting should I make s.der Canon XL2, so that the material problems of Final Cut can be accepted?

I thank
G.

Antwort von PowerMac:

That has nothing to do with Final Cut Pro to do, but with an incorrect time code which is transmitted. The cutter has hopefully its Final Cut Pro set correctly, as a prerequisite (the configuration Simple: DV PAL 48 KHz). Was the camera set to "Free Run" or "Record Run" set? Try, with a different camera to capture?

Antwort von thewhitesmoke:

The Camera is set to "Rec Run". I should probably prefer the "Free Run", not true?

Thank you
G.

Antwort von PowerMac:

Record Run is already correct.
