If you take the data of your camcorder "as they are" on the computer have (DV port> DV-AVI), then the so-called "code in the data files.

Some video editing programs offer securities in the opportunity to code the data again visible. With a little work you can date and time of recording even as zu-/abschaltbaren burn subtitles on DVD.

More info:
" Weder Datum noch Uhrzeit beim Abspielen auf dem PC
" Time code from your camcorder into the PC

Your posting in the Canon section, incidentally, I have deleted. :-)

Yes, but what I mean is:

The camcorder has a photo synonymous function.
On my Canon digicam can be found in the Camera menu set whether the date and time the picture appears to be or not. So that at every time the car picture and the date inserted in the corner.

Is that in the photo function and video function of your camcorder does not?

Thanks for the help: D

Ps: thanks for delete, I'm new here and was probably too stupid in the right section to post; D

If the instructions do not asserted otherwise probably not. The photo function of a camcorder I was never important enough times that I would have tried. But at least the video should be the data code can be displayed. Is there no entry in the menu for this? (The An-/Abschalten is cumbersome).

I just look at my HC35 (which is of my HC96 camcorder the most similar) to see if a function à la REC DATE exist. - But nothing was there.

How similar is synonymous in the manual that came with the HC96 formulated. As is described that the data is recorded in code, but not in the picture is visible. You can play it during the retrieve (only analogous to Picture stamped, but not via firewire output).

So just keep the funds in the Postpro to the embedded data again visible.

Hello Mark!

Thank you for the trouble.
A pity that it is the function that is not really there. Any cheap digicam has it, a shame really!
But in any case, thank you for the trouble!

Well every cheap digicam again not synonymous.

The date & time you can show almost all of them, but this data directly on the scan picture - this can be rather few cameras.

Let the number 1 Company digicams (Canon) - there is only resolution setting "postcard" with 2 million pixels - only then is placed directly on the picture with the date draufgedruckt - not at 5, 7 or 10 million pixels setting. Yes Kodak can almost always - Name: Date printed on the menu.

For many Panasonic, Fuji Sonyand devices will rarely synonymous date directly on the picture to print. The data are being stored in EXIF, but this ugly yellow below Date imprint not everyone likes.

with the freeware tool dvdate: http://paul.glagla.free.fr/dvdate_en.htm
you can use the date / time, etc. according to your desire to burn video.
it's better this way than if the camera would make it. stört but sometime and then it can not remove it. it is only stored in the stream and you can use it or not.
