Frage von matze22:

Hi Folks,

times have a question about USB Video grave Bern ...

I want on my laptop with the software "Adobe Ultra CS3" a kind of live Chromakey (; create for preview).

Since my laptop, unfortunately, has only one video out, I'm looking for a solution to the video image into the computer to get to.
And I thought s.solch a USB stick with video input ...

Can anyone recommend me as an embroidery?
Is there a delay of the transfer via USB, or the video "live" recorded no offset via USB into the laptop?

Regards
Matze ;-)

So a Firewire PCMCIA card that would serve them better, depending on Laptop and Camera fare is about 10Euro.
Better than the USB Grabber "toy" (; Ok synonymous are good USB Grabber).

Hello,

the problem is over firewire there is this delay ...

It is not like that now comes to the perfect image, because the Chromakey anyway thought in Ultra CS3 is only for previewing purposes
But it is important that it is displayed without delay!

Is that because of such a USB grabber without delay?

So far I know it is really only over Firewire

All I know of mobile solutions have generally Firewire :-)

But I try my ... But Firewire is now familiar to delay me - the statement.

A slight delay, there must be systemic in my opinion always - in any kind of digitization. The Picture must be present for further processing by the calculator completely, yes. It takes at least 1 / 25 seconds (; duration of an image). To even have a Verzöggerung for editing.

This delay can be seen when one compares for example, when capturing the analog picture with a thumbnail of the PC. Since the offset is visible.

Live Bluebox is made in the "real" studio synonymous with other technology. Where all devices have (the same clock, genlock), so that a processing (; Bluebox synonymous or a simple blend) with virtually no delay expires.

But I understand the timing criticality of your project does not, especially if it is to preview SOWISO (; rather a first impression) and the Key SOWISO again is done in the postpro. Or is it the orientation of the person in a "virtual space"?

The person during the action itself should probably not stare at monitors, but concentrate on the presentation itself ...

But if you want it to run, as you of being considered, then you must rely on components that are dedicated synonymous. As would be as for normal PCs: a map of Decklink to consider. Perhaps enough (synonymous a Firewire port; digitization through camera or AD) converter. But I hardly think that cheap USB grabber is suitable for such applications and there are sufficient suitable software support. I let myself be happy, however, disabuse.

Maybe you should just tell me, what it actually is and exactly what you want before we go through all the technical possibilities.

I need this live-Key really only that one can see as rough as it will appear later ...

Sauber gekeyt is yes, then later in the postpro in After Effects.

The only question is whether there is at such a USB grabber a visible delay?
I had in my old PC a graphics card with video - in so that you could import the Videsignal "live" ie without delay in Adobe Ultra ...

Since my laptop but no graphics card with video - In has, I thought, if it with such a USB grabber solution would work.
I do not stop, whether this involves a greater delay is (; for USB)?

Maybe this time someone can try that has such a USB-grabber?
If you have no Adobe Ultra CS3, then once with AMCap or try VidCap, it is indeed just a question of whether the delayed live image via USB or does not matter ;-)
