This has nothing to do purely with Quicktime, just with the codec. What have you been up to?

So it is a Quicktime movie that I will post the player for a boarding platform to find appealing. One usually sees already a picture before going on the movie.

Which encoder do you use? Compressor? Take s.besten the H.264 (Picture) and AAC (sound) and turn on the Detailing and the Frame control. In addition, 2-pass, if offered. Also, so you do not load until you find anywhere the option "optimize for streaming", enable this.

How big is the playback window?

Antwort von robrick:

Quicktime and H.264 are not a good solution in my experience, problems often occur during play, such as sudden jerky, etc. on ... As far as I know the best codec is Sorenson Video 3, wherein the material is again s.MB greater.

It depends on the compression. The bigger the picture, and the higher the compression, the faster the calculator to its knees and the Picture jerky.

However, H264 is with the proper settings download absolutely unbeatable in terms of image quality and above all, one must not only itself a link sent by someone starts the movie instantly in the browser.

Especially since I now support the H.264 even coffee makers and washing machines a pretty sure thing.

Just a pity that the Quicktime encoder for H.264 it is lame, libx264 the Quicktime encoder captures (at lengths may be), for example with HandBrake time to try.

Basic QUESTION: Should not it hot ... low compression ... ? To my understanding, the file size decreases with higher compression, but was weaker machine rather served for the better, right?

At higher compression, the hard drive is relieved of the burden Processor more. 10 years ago, the hard disks were fast enough, quite weak compressed DV-AVI play without stuttering. For much more compressed MPEG4 the bottleneck is not in too slow hard disks-read speeds, but in the real-time decompression through the processor and possibly the graphics card.

Thanks Meggs, makes sense to me.

Through my provincial DSL light (max 44kb down and 10kb up - synonymous only with a tailwind) and the previously introduced "streaming term" I got carried away on this fallacy, since my bottleneck is the bandwidth of the pipe.

I have a presentation tomorrow and need to urgently consider a tip with nem speichersparenden format ...
Is there yet another possibility zb. Avi, Flv ...?

Take 720p and screw hold down the bit rate accordingly. 5000kbps range (roughly) the Apple TV preset in Compressor.

Unfortunately, you have not told on what hardware it will run smoothly. I'm assuming that you max. Show 25 frames / s you want?

What size is it in your source material? Your export format of 1400x1050 does not feel very ordinary.

If your footage has an AR of 16:9, but will try a standard size like 1280x720 or is that too small? When you choose H.264 compression, frame rate, up to date, auto keyframes. On the slider "Compressor" You control the file size (but) the quality synonymous.

It would be useful to ensure your problem, if you us your goal specific. If the presentation of one play Calculator dinosaurs or why your result to be achieved should be "speichersparend. How long is because the film - depends on a relatively large amount, or 940 MB can be somewhat synonymous.

Alternatively, you can directly synonymous to create an mpeg-4. QT export shows then you have an indication of the future size, the streaming rate you on some parameters (size, ... can change).

You may be the question of the imagery synonymous still relevant. Perhaps a specialized codec is more appropriate. To start a job without prior knowledge s.Vorabend the presentation is really not a good idea.

The video material is very complex, I have installed many effects in the 2 minutes. The playback platform is Mac OS X and I work at the time my Vista. Have the bit rate is now runtergeschraubt and hope that the result is reasonably good, because so far every memory format has its problems.

2 minutes should not be regulated.
