Infoseite // Which video format do I work s.schnellsten?

Frage von djoesch:

Hi,

Had with the JVC GY-HD201E HDV record in 720p 25/50fps (1280x720 Squarepix).
The whole is digitized as MPEG ago. Have it in Premiere and cut it into After Effects Editing. There are green screen shots.

In what format it is a render that I am in After Effects as small as possible and s.bequemsten Jerkiness have to work with?

Liebe Grüße,
Daniel

I formulate the question differently.

Is it better than to render uncompressed Quicktime (30 sec 3 GB),
so in After Effects to work
or better wählich a codec (compression) to
if so, how?

Antwort von JMitch:

After dei footage is already compressed, makes unkompr. no sense. When scanning a color such as black and white picture:)

If there is no problem with MPG in AFX würd there I need to stay. Otherwise QT is always good, maybe Sorenson.

Just try

cheers

Antwort von JMitch:

Well, but if the video from Premiere rausgerendet (compressed), then back into After Effects and is compressed with Premiere s.Schluss then again, so nothing can get out dolles

For the processing over several generations Render - as is the case here - is still the use of Intermediate codec (Cineform, Canopus HQ) native editing of m2t-files preferred.

So this is not entirely true, it makes sense the HDV video in another format such as DVC PRO HD or so to convert. Dadruch The quality is not better, but it is annoying going GOP structure and After Effects does not have to constantly calculate the intermediate images, which wierderum CPU / GPU relieved.
I would MPEG2 file in DVC PRO HD, the new Apple HighRes code or convert JPEG200 and not working with uncompressed material, because this is just too much memory and speed required. If you cut with Premiere JPEG2000 is probably the best choice, when Final Cut Pro is, in principle, no preference. The Sorenson codec, I have not yet done so much and use it more for small web videos, as Intermedia Codec, it is not credible so well suited.

Likewise, it is correct! What codec is then used is partly a matter of taste. But the basic rule => the less compression the better. See synonymous here:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=332583&sliceId=2

I personally enjoy working with the Lagarith, QT / animation, QT / Jpeg Still Image ... depending on ...

If you have access to the Intermediates => CanopusHQ or CineformHD, it should be synonymous with this work. They offer excellent quality (as already mentioned of Wolfgang) ...

Thanks for the answers!

So when capturing premiers auto MPEGs created.
This I then uncompressed MOVs (Quicktime) exported and imported into After Effects. (30 sec of around 3 GB!)
In After Effects can not work so wonderfully.
I had initially for rendering, Adobe of the hidden menu in the Preferences and enable "cache after 50 empty frames", so that he has no memory overflow.

While working with the clips now still seen the message "Not enough memory, 3600kb needed ..." or "Unknown error drawing.
I also display errors when I use the footage in the scene and turn gleichzeiteig hide, there are comic strips, like interlaced. But the material is Quadr. pixels and frames.
